One tequila, two tequila, three tequila…

A smooth, crisp drink full of aromas and flavours to tantalize your tastebuds. If you love tequila, you better check this out…

If you love Tequila (we do, we do) you’re going to really adore Fortaleza – a small-batch, hand crafted, 100 per cent agave tequila imported from the town of Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico.

Fifth generation tequila maker Guillermo Erickson Sauza uses the same methods as his forefathers at this family-owned distillery on the slopes of an extinct volcano.

The range includes…

Fortaleza Blanco – a smooth, crisp tequila that is full of flavour from the blue agave, backed with notes of dried berries and citrus. It comes in a hand-blown, individually-numbered bottle and sells for around R750 bottle.

Fortaleza Reposado kicks off with aromas of raisins, figs, roasted nuts, caramelized agave, honey, delicate earth and soft cinnamon, followed with flavours of dried fruit, agave, toasted wood, baking spice and minerals and it leaves you with a vibrant and lively finish, with lingering spice. This light golden colour liquid comes in a hand-blown bottle and costs around R1 000 bottle.

Fortaleza Añejo is a mid to rich gold in colour with a nose of caramel, cinnamon, honey and nutmeg, and tastes of soft agave honey, newly-turned soil with wood, sugars and spice. The hand-blown bottle costs about R1 300 bottle.
