Start 2019 on a safe foot

FOURWAYS – The Douglasdale CPF Sector 4 got the year off to a safe start when it hosted its first crime awareness campaign of 2019

Douglasdale Community Policing Forum (CPF) Sector 4, the South African Police Service Douglasdale, community patrollers, Ward Councillor Candice James and Fidelity Security (led by Phillip Zondo) joined forces for the first joint crime awareness campaign of the year in the sector at Fourways Crossing on 11 January.

The primary focus of the initiative was to educate the community on matters of personal safety and awareness of one’s surroundings. They distributed 1 600 brochures to motorists and pedestrians alike.

The initiative was well-received by the community, with several commuters welcoming it and voicing their approval for the campaign.

The Douglasdale Sector 4 CPF thanked the SAPS for their initiative and commitment to the community. They also wished to thank Fourways Crossing for their continued partnership with the CPF.
