Vacancy for secretary: Sandton CPF Sector 1

The Sandton CPF Sector 1 is looking for an efficient, organised, community-minded sector committee secretary.

The applicant should be able to work with a variety of individuals, attend three meetings per month, and help keep the committee running smoothly.

This position would be suitable for an individual living or working in Sector 1, which includes the suburbs of Edenburg, Gallo Manor, Khyber Rock, Rivonia, Sunninghill, Woodlands and Woodmead.

The requirements of this voluntary position are as follows:

• Sector committee secretary: The role of sector committee secretary is crucial to the effective functioning of the committee. It encompasses the taking and distributing of minutes and assisting the chair and vice-chair in various aspects of their duties. Strong secretarial and administration skills, attention to detail and the ability to interact at all levels are essential.

Nominees are required to undergo SAPS clearance in order to qualify. This is a straightforward process which takes place at the Sandton Police Station. The general public is invited and encouraged to submit nominations that meet the selection criteria.

The Sandton CPF relies on volunteers in order to fulfil its mandate of building a strong partnership between the community and the police and supporting law enforcement agents in the discharge of their duties.

Sandton CPF Sector 1 community meetings are held every 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6.30pm on the 1st Floor, Sandton SAPS, 2 Summit Road, Morningside, Sandton. All residents and businesses are welcome.
