Witkoppen Primary’s top achievers enjoy an early Christmas

DOUGLASDALE – This is why these schoolchildren were treated to breakfast at Wimpy.

Witkoppen Primary School’s top achievers for this year were treated to a breakfast at Wimpy and a visit to the Douglasdale Police Station.

The breakfast was courtesy of Wimpy Douglasdale and the 25 children in grades R to 7 were joined by officers of the Douglasdale Police Station.

Jacqueline Aphane, manager of Wimpy, said the children arrived for breakfast as early as 6.30am.

“The children behaved so well and asked us so many questions on the day,” said Aphane. “They were full of smiles and we were so happy to have them. We wish we could have them here again.”

The head of communications for the station, Captain Mpho Tshetlhane, said, “Learners were addressed on issues of bullying, respect, holiday safety, the impact of using pornographic materials, drugs and substance abuse.”

The event ended at the station where the schoolchildren received goodie bags.
