Cuppa for Cansa where dogs are most welcome
MAGALIESSIG – Humans and their best friends came together recently at the Fluffs and Tufts Dog Care Centre to take part in a Cuppa for Cansa event
Humans and their dogs were invited to both remember those who had lost the battle against cancer and support those who are still fighting.
On 4 November a Cuppa for Cansa event was hosted at the Fluffs and Tufts Dog Care Centre in Magaliessig. Dog owners and their pets were invited to take part in a remembrance walk in memory of those who have been lost to the disease, followed by a beautiful tea on the Fluffs and Tufts grounds. Funds raised will be used to conduct research and provide education and support to South Africans affected by cancer.
Guest speaker on the day was Lindy Dekker, a Tellington TTouch instructor and practitioner for equine and companion animals which is a kind of therapy used to address behavioural and health issues in pets. Also present on the day was Ashleigh Tennier, who did short sessions with both the animals and humans.
