PIC: A big walk for HeronBridge College
NIETGEDACHT – It was a day of fun in the sun at HeronBridge as staff, parents and children enjoyed the school's Big Walk for this year.
On 29 September over 600 parents, children and staff from HeronBridge College took part in the Big Walk along the river situated on the school’s campus.
The scenic walk for the adventurous was 5km long, but there was also a 1,5km option for those not looking for an athletic challenge.
The fun continued on the day with a carnival, jumping castles, human foosball courts, swings, a 20m high slide and other activities that kept children and parents entertained for hours, with many only leaving after staff began to disassemble the rides.
Traditional games of tug of war and sack racing brought back memories for many of the parents as they happily showed their competitive side – giving it their all for boasting rights for the year.
The walk will return next year!
