Little Kickers Fourways hosts inter-franchise tournament at Crawford College Lonehill

LONEHILL – Youngsters have a soccer blast when Little Kickers Fourways hosts inter-franchise tournament.

Fun and teamwork were the order of the day as Little Kickers Fourways hosted an inter-franchise tournament recently.

Crawford College Lonehill was packed on the day, as 70 children from three franchise venues and all their parents and siblings gathered for soccer action.

According to Fourways club owner Karunes Naidoo, all the teams performed outstandingly well.

“The support from proud parents and from all the teams was boisterous, which played a great part in the enthusiasm of the players,” she said.

Naidoo explained that their motto is ‘play not push’, which means teaching football in a fun, pressure-free environment. “We want to give children a positive introduction to sport as a whole, not just football, so they are more likely to stay healthy and active throughout their lives.”

Naidoo added that the tournaments are held regularly, and are aimed at enhancing competitiveness in the soccer world in a pressure-free environment.

“Sports are all about bringing people together with a common passion. We love watching children form bonds and lasting friendships.”

Naidoo thanked the Fourways community for their ongoing support.
