Clearing the clutter at Hirsch’s

PINESLOPES – Julia Adam visited Hirsch's recently to give others a head start in this year's spring cleaning!

Recently Hirsch’s Fourways invited an organisational specialist, Julia Adam from Oh So Organised, to address its network.

Adam approached this normally tender subject with tact and humour, and with the help of pictures and colour and comparisons to insects like a butterfly, cricket, ladybug and bee she related people’s different approaches to organisations.

She explained that some people are visual and need a different type of solution, as opposed to say the person who might on the surface seem totally together, but actually is sinking into chaos once those cupboards are opened.

Adam used before and after pictures to demonstrate her points and it was amazing that just adding shelving or boxes made most spaces seem bigger.

“Julia also touched on the sentimental and how one could approach this without too much damage to one’s organising or one’s family relations,” said Sharron Dingle, the public relations officer for the store.

“She readily answered questions and encouraged people to start the process slowly and not to try and do everything at the same time.”
