Police are investigating a case of housebreaking and theft following an incident that took place in Glenferness in the early hours of the morning on 11 May.

Midrand Police Station spokesperson Matome Tlamela said the complainant reported that he was sleeping at home when he heard his alarm and got up to investigate.

“The man saw two males in his [home] office, one with a torch and another with a firearm. The complainant got scared and screamed for help. The suspects then fled the scene and disappeared,” said Tlamela.
