Urgent appeal to assist Clay Oven fire victims

CLAY OVEN – Future City Fourways and Gracepoint Church urge Fourways community to assist Clay Oven residents.

A fire ravaged the Clay Oven informal settlement on Sunday morning, 29 April.  It has been reported that about 2o shacks burnt down, leaving 42 people homeless and without clothes, blankets and food.

Following the unfortunate event,  the greater Fourways community has come together to assist those affected. In a Facebook post, Gracepoint Church said some of their team members have visited the community to deliver clothes, food and blankets, however, there was not enough for all the affected families.

Future City Fourways and Gracepoint Church have appealed to the Fourways community to assist with food, clothing and blankets.

Donations can be dropped off at 125 Duncan Road, Glenferness as well as Unit 81 Studio Office Park 5 Concourse Crescent, Lonehill or 29 Pekin ave, Blairgowrie.
