UPDATE: Cambridge Crossing to support police in investigating case of assault that took place at the centre recently

A video has gone viral on social media depicting one woman hitting another at Cambridge Crossing shopping centre in Paulshof.

The video has been circulating on social media since yesterday, 29 March, and has amassed thousands of views so far.

In the video, one woman says, “I will not lay my hands on an employee.” Near the end of the video, the same woman says, “You are fired.”

Cambridge Crossing’s marketing company S&A confirmed that the incident took place at their centre to the Fourways Review. Alice Zejglic, director of S&A Marketing said, “The management at Cambridge Crossing was deeply saddened by this incident as we do not condone incidences of violence. We commit to supporting the South African Police Service as they investigate the matter.”

Fourways Review has also received a copy of the video from a community member and has blurred the faces to protect the identities of those involved in the assault case.
