UPDATE: Boeing 737 finally reaches Fourways

JOBURG – The Boeing 737 has spent the most part of the morning making it's way from Jet Park to the Fourways area to make a new home at KidZania, Fourways Mall.

The Boeing 737 has finally found itself in the Fourways area this afternoon, 27 February. After travelling from Jet Park, the plane will be resting its wings at Fourways Mall to become part of KidZania’s interactive mega-city for children.

Children are able to explore a scaled indoor city, which will include an airplane. There are 24 KidZania facilities world wide, with this being the first branch in South Africa.

“KidZania blends learning and reality with entertainment,” reads the official website.

“Children learn by doing, and in KidZania, children of all ages can independently explore over 60 real-life activities and test their skills in a variety of professions.”

The plane is currently travelling through Riversands, approaching William Nicol Drive.

KidZania, the interactive mega-city for kids, has confirmed that its Boeing 737, destined for its new home in Fourways Mall, is currently travelling through Midrand.

KidZania, the interactive mega-city for kids, has confirmed that its Boeing 737, destined for its new home in Fourways Mall, has left Jet Park.

The KidZania team has been delayed in transporting the Boeing 737 and is still in Kempton Park.

Motorists are advised of potential traffic delays on Tuesday, 27 February, between 5am and 5pm due to the transportation of a Boeing 737, headed to Fourways Mall, for the launch of KidZania in South Africa.

Affected areas include Jet Park, Isando, Choolorkop, Midrand, Dainfern and Fourways.
