De-stress with stand-up comedian Alan Committie and his hysterical one-man show Laughing Matters

FOURWAYS – Alan Committie is back with another hilarious one-man show.

De-stress with stand-up comedian, Alan Committie and his hysterical one-man show, Laughing Matters directed by Christopher Weare and currently running at Pieter Toerien’s Montecasino Theatre, until 19 November 2017.

Coming from a sold-out season of The Sound of Laughter in Cape Town, at the end of 2016, Alan Committie is back with another trailblazing comedy show.

The award-winning widely loved South African comedian has just kicked off his season at Pieter Toerien’s Montecasino Theatre delivering nothing but the best of his comedic antics, not forgetting his famous character, part-time security guard, Johan van der Walt.

Committie fans are in for a real treat and can expect just about anything from their favourite funnyman, whose witty wordplay has been inspired by one crazy year.

With the crazy year that it has been, not just for South Africa but the world in general, Committie is the stress ball of comedy and his high-energy madcap antics are contagious.

Committie said, “You’ll learn to laugh until you cry and then use the tears to water your garden. Or send them to relatives in the Western Cape.”

Fresh off the success as co-host of the SABC 2 chat show, Red Cake, Committie is an expert at making people laugh and with over 940 performances over a period of eight years, the comedian does not shy away from hard work. As a fan, you can be sure this comedian knows how to get audiences rolling in the isles.

He is already working on a new show, Planet Mirth, which will take a funny look at everything in high definition.

“It is Committie mocku-comedy at its very best as I continue exploring the insane world we live in.”
Joburg will get to experience this show when he brings it to Montecasino. The show will run from 19 January to 25 February next year.

For now, however, bring the whole family and come and get your funny bone tickled with Committie’s Laughing Matters.

Tickets for Laughing Matters are available from Computicket or at the box office. It runs at Pieter Toerien’s Montecasino Theatre, until 19 November. Block bookings available on 011 511 1988.
