The Douglasdale police arrested 45 suspects between 13 and 15 October.
The crimes committed ranged from rape, possession of marijuana, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, shoplifting, possession of drugs, theft, and driving under the influence.
Among the arrested suspects, 18 were arrested for drinking and driving. All the suspects will appear in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court.
“We would like to thank members of the community for the good working relationship and encourage them to keep on working together with the police,” said Captain Mpho Tshetlhane, spokesperson for the station.
“We also encourage members of the community to continue reporting any suspicious activities happening in their area by phoning Douglasdale police on 011 699 1333 or 086 00 10111.”
