Birds Gardens at Montecasino in Fourways closed

Montecasino has confirmed that their bird gardens have been closed.

“We can confirm that Montecasino Bird Gardens have been closed with immediate effect until further notice as a precautionary measure following the detection of a virus,” said Lisa Sukdev, Montecasino public relations manager.

“We are conducting a full investigation in cooperation with the state veterinarian and have implemented stringent measures to ensure our animals remain healthy and their well-being continues to be our priority.

Measures to protect all birds have been stepped up and the necessary precautions have been undertaken.

Sukdev apologised on behalf of Montecasino to any individuals or groups who will be inconvenienced.
