Cook-off at Hirsch’s Fourways sees youth receive her first bed

FOURWAYS – Jaci Tibbit speaks to a young aspiring accountant and Hirsch's gives a young girl her very first bed.

Recently at the HeronBridge College cook-off at Hirsch’s Fourways, Sindi Maselela won her very first bed. Maselela won the prize in a prize draw during the cook-off competition.

She is in Grade 11 at HeronBridge College, with a full scholarship. With her favourite subjects being accounting and geography, she expressed her dream to become an accountant, owning her own business and then giving back to the community.

Currently, Maselela has initiated her own charity drive to uplift the communities in the area where she lives. Sharron Dingle, Hirsch’s public relations officer, explained that it was a pleasure to present a beautiful young lady with this gift.

“We, at Hirsch’s, were so touched by her story that we organised for the current Mrs Johannesburg, Jaci Tibbit to meet her at the store,” said Dingle.

Tibbit took some photographs with Maselela and spoke to the enthusiastic young woman.

“We hope this speeds her on her way to a wonderful and shiny future,” said Tibbit.
