In a statement, the Douglasdale CPF said the investigations were ongoing.

“We cannot comment further on such investigations and circumstances at this stage. Further releases from the SAPS will be made as and when deemed expedient so as not to interfere with the investigations,” read the statement.

The CPF added that the forum gave full support to the SAPS who were determined to ‘root out any members who indulge in unlawful activity and to show that nobody is above the law.’

“Well done to all SAPS Provincial Head Office Trio Unit members and other Commanders and members of SAPS Douglasdale for their dedication and diligence in today’s operations; we applaude their diligence and commitment to the integrity in the police force that you showed and upheld while protecting our communities and its people.”
