Sharks in Cedarwood!

GLENFERNESS – What were sharks doing in Glenferness? Find out more here.

Grade 10 children of Cedarwood School were not frightened recently when they had to face some ‘sharks’. As part of the Grade 10 business class, children had an opportunity to present their business ideas to four local business people as guest judges, inspired by the M-Net show Shark Tank.

Business Forum must change its focus

The show sees hopeful entrepreneurs appear before a panel of successful South African business moguls, which included Andre Jacobs, Alice Carpenter, Sumaya Abdooland and Vevin Bhowami.

The Shark Tank promotes entrepreneurial skills, critical thinking as well as negotiation skills, and all the children involved presented amazing products on the evening.

Reece Geldard, one of the Cedarwood School’s Grade 10 children presents his business idea to the ‘sharks’.

Congratulations went to Kate Hirsh for producing the best product and receiving praise for her great presenting skills. Special thanks went to Eaton for sponsoring the prizes and being part of the Cedarwood community, and the efforts of teachers and parents who were involved in preparations for the event was much appreciated.
