The Official Fourways and Lanseria Chamber of Commerce and Industry was made official at the Ignite Launch on 27 July.
The Riversands Incubation Hub hosted over 600 delegates who came together in a show of support. David Molapo from the I Can Foundation gave an inspiring speech and encouraged business people and future entrepreneurs.
Jean Berdou, chairman of Future City Fourways, said they are extremely excited going forward and happy to see the positive support shown to local businesses. “Official Fourways and Lanseria Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a tremendous step forward for the local economy. In these times, our local businesses need all the support and stimulation they can get. Regular business meetings, networking sessions, training, mentoring, business refinancing and topical seminars will be conducted by the official chamber, supported by various partners.

Berdou said that it is clear that the local business fraternity has indicated a great desire to support this type of initiative, and the official chamber will take its place in supporting local businesses.
