From 28 June to 30 June, Douglasdale police arrested 46 suspects for different crimes ranging from armed robbery, possession of unlicensed firearms, possession of marijuana, dealing in liquor without a licence, assault, housebreaking and theft, common assault, reckless and negligent driving, shoplifting and common robbery.
Police warn the community to beware of rental scams
Among the arrested suspects, 22 were arrested for drunk driving. The suspects will appear in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court soon.
“We would like to thank members of the community for the good working relationship and encourage them to keep working together with the police,” said Captain Mpho Kgaoane, spokesperson for the Douglasdale Police Station.
She also encouraged members of the community to continue reporting any suspicious activities in their area by phoning the police station.
