Join the Witkoppen Spruit Park clean-up in honour of Mandela Day

Join Fourways environmentalist Susan Mottram and Re/Max Masters Bryanston in their endeavour to keep our community clean on Mandela Day.

Re/Max Masters Bryanston is holding a park clean-up on Saturday 8 July in honour of Mandela Day.

“It’s time to clean up our community parks and it’s a huge honour to do it for a cause like Mandela Day. Mandela made such a massive impact in our lives and even after he has passed, his legacy lives on in our hearts,” said resident Susan Mottram.

Susan Mottram invites the community to a Mandela Day park clean-up. She believes that cleaner places are safer places.

She encouraged the community to invite all their friends and family to attend this day at the Witkoppen Spruit Park. Mottram is known in the Fourways community for her love of the environment. She is also the co-founder and chairperson of the Douglasdale Business and Residents Forum and the co-founder of Future City Fourways.

She said councillor David Foley will also be present on the day to encourage the community to save ‘our beautiful parks’.

Mottram has been on an environmental journey since 2008. When she started working at Re/Max Masters Bryanston she decided that she wanted to combine her love for the community, the environment and her new work and that’s how the park clean-up was born.

Mottram reminded the community that “cleaner places are safer spaces”.
