Saving lives with the Sunflower Foundation in the name of bone marrow transplants

FOURWAYS – The Sunflower Foundation hosts a charity luncheon to help patients who need cell transplants.

The Sunflower Foundation held a ladies luncheon at the Hilton Hotel in Sandton to raise funds for people who urgently need cell transplants and whose lives are at stake.

The Sunflower Fund raised R30 000 for this cause.

The fund is a non-profit organisation dedicated to facilitating the registration process for people to join the South African Bone Marrow Registry (SABMR).

Chantelle Owens, Mrs Planet 2016, hosted the day and the ladies had the chance to share their compassion for those in need.

Margaret Hirsch was the key note speaker for the day and inspired the crowd with a short version of her success story as well as some testimonials. The ladies were inspired by her determination and vigour.

Deetlefs wines contribute to the success of the Sunflower Fund ladies luncheon.

Franzel Deetlefs presented a wine tasting with reds, whites and blushes from Deetlef’s Wine Estate. While everyone enjoyed the delicious food, gifts, wine tasting and conversation, funds were raised for those who are in dire need of cell transplants.

Hirsch also gave away a dishwasher to lucky winner Ntombifuthi Sibiya.
