FOURWAYS – Yolande Korkie brought tears to the eyes of audience members at the Good Vibrations and Conversations event when she spoke about her life's journey.

The Good Vibrations and Conversations event held on 20 May inspired many people who attended the event to donate money to the Rosehaven Retirement Village.

Leanne Dlamini opened the stage with a beautiful song and Carolyn Steyn, the founder of the 67 blanket drive for Mandela Day, gave an inspiring testimony about what the 67 blanket drive has done for different people from all walks of life.

“My feet have been to places that I never thought I would go and we are knitting broken lives together,” said Steyn.

South African born musician, comedian, film, television and theatre actor, Eddie Eckstein entertained the audience with some musical classics and created a fun space with a few well-told jokes. The audience rose to their feet when he ended with Frank Sinatra’s classic New York, New York.
