Orange is the colour of fun and action at the Rhythm Run at Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit

The brilliant vibe at the Discovery 947 Rhythm Run on 21 May swept over the crowd as the gates opened at three in the afternoon and 8 000 runners started to stream through the gates of the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit and International Convention Centre.

Runners lined up at the starting line in their bright orange tops at 6pm with smiles of excitement on their faces. They had the option to either run the 4.7 km or the 9.4 km race. Spirits were high as they ran to the rhythm of the music played by the 947 DJ’s.

The vibrant vibe at the Discovery 947 Rhythm Run took the crowd to a whole new level.

Although most of the runners looked tired at the end of the race, they said they would all do it again next year.

After their run, the runners enjoyed scrumptious food and much-needed beverages. The VIP room came to life with laughter as the flood of orange streamed into the room. Runners gathered in front of the 947 main stage where the talented 947 DJ’s took over the evening.

Stephanie, Sally, Sandy and Samantha Dube, four sisters who enjoy regular fun runs together waited in anticipation for the afterparty to commence. “We love spending time together and this is the perfect way to do it,” said the Dube sisters.
