Youngster from Midrand makes it to the charts with his track, Donald Trump

JOBURG – Upcoming artist makes it to radio charts with his song titled Donald Trump

The 21-year-old, Ince Khumalo, aka Kay Paiges, from Klipfontein View, is making the charts on radio stations with his latest song.

The youngster, who describes his music as trap-hop, which he said is a combination of rap and hip-hop, has released the single Donald Trump which has already made it to Mogale FM’s top five hip-hop charts, and was recently playlisted on Trans Africa Radio, available on Dstv Channel 872.

Paiges, as he is fondly known, said he wrote the song about the United States of America’s president not to praise or shame him. He said he was simply inspired to pen it because he feels Trump did what many didn’t expect him to do.

“Whether people think of him as a good person or not, he still made it where he wanted to be in the long run. And that’s exactly what I’m trying to do with music. A lot of people may believe in me now but don’t believe I’ll reach the pinnacles I have set for myself in terms of how far I want to go with music,” he said.

He is currently doing his last year in live performance at a media arts-based institution called AFDA. “I fell in love with music from a very young age, but at the time, I never really thought I would take the route to becoming an actual artist. I actually started out as a house head and was a DJ for a short period in my life and this was in my early high school years,” he added.

Paiges, who signed under Blue Lwandle Entertainment, will soon release his new song called Tend To featuring another upcoming artist, Clumsy.
