No injuries after collision

FOURWAYS – A taxi rolled after T-boning another vehicle on the R511.

A taxi skipped a red light and collided with another vehicle on the corner of Witkoppen and the R511, just outside the Corner on the Straight shopping centre, yesterday afternoon.
Although the crash caused extensive damage to the taxi, which flipped onto its side after hitting the second vehicle, neither driver appeared to be injured.

“Both drivers refused medical care [from the Emer-G-Med paramedics who were] at the scene,” said Max Cohen, the media liaison for the emergancy services company.
The incident was the latest in a line of issues plaguing drivers in the Fourways area this week. This included flood warnings after this week’s rain, and restricted lanes due to roadworks.
