BREAKING NEWS: Body found at Montecasino

FOURWAYS - A staff member from Montecasino made the gruesome discovery earlier this morning.

Montecasino has confirmed that a body has been found on its property.

Group communications manager at Tsogo Sun, Priya Naidoo said “Police have removed the body of a man found this morning in the dam located on property. The body was discovered by a staff member, and police were immediately notified. Once an identification has been made, police will notify the next of kin.”

The time and cause of death are unknown at this stage and will be determined by the police investigation, said Naidoo.

According to Captain Mpho Kgasoane, spokesperson of Douglasdale SAP, the man is believed to be 30-35  years old.

Kgasoane said, “Douglasdale inquest docket was opened today at about 10am, after a decomposed body of an unknown man, aged 30-35 was found floating in the dam at Montecasino. Police investigations are continuing.”

She urged anyone who may have any information, in regard to the incident, to contact the police on 011 699 1333.
