Total South Africa put smiles on children’s faces

It is that time of the year again when family and friends shower each other with festive gifts and Total South Africa was no different as their staff did their bit to spread joy to the children of Diepsloot.
The company played its part this festive season by hosting a Christmas party for the children at Wings of Life Centre in Diepsloot with the aim of tackling social exclusion and other related socio-economic anomalies.
“At this time of goodwill and sharing, as Total South Africa, we understand that children are the most important group in our society and not all of them get Christmas gifts at home,” said Nyameka Makonya, sustainable development manager at the company.

Makonya added that it was unfortunate that not everybody got to enjoy Christmas because of the circumstances they found themselves in and the act of giving the children gifts was their bit to show the children how special they were.
“We have chosen to partner with Afrika Tikkun, as a non-profit organisation that develops young people from cradle to career, to host these Christmas parties at their centres.”
