Douglasdale Police Station advised community members who usually jog or run along the road to always be alert.
This came after several cases were reported to Douglasdale Police Station where joggers were robbed of their valuables which included cellphones, cash and jewellery.
Head of communications at the station, Captain Mpho Kgasoane, advised joggers to either jog in groups or in safe areas where they would not be easily targeted by criminals.
“Your safety is our concern and always remember that prevention of crime begins with you.”
Kgasoane urged all residents to immediately report any criminal activity in their area.
