Chartwell sisters to represent Gauteng

CHARTWELL - Chartwell sisters Patricia and Sandra Ambichler will be representing Gauteng at the South African National Equestrian Schools Association's National Championships in October.

Sisters Patricia (16) and Sandra (13) Ambichler are keeping horse riding in the family as both have been selected to represent Gauteng at the South African National Equestrian Schools Association (Sanesa) National Championships in October.

Both girls were selected for the Johannesburg Metro team after they performed well in four qualifiers throughout the year. The most recent qualifier was the regionals, which took place in Kyalami between 6 and 9 August. During the regionals, 169 schools in five regions competed.

This will be the second time in a row that Patricia, a Crawford Fourways pupil, will represent her province. She will ride Nightingales Marcasite during the national championship.

Meanwhile, her little sister, Sandra, from Crawford Lonehill, will compete for the first time on Brondyni Toffee.

The Sanesa National Championships will be held at the Misty Meadows venue in Pretoria from 3 to 8 October.
