There has been heavy traffic on the R511 route with a reportedly violent protest involving taxi drivers. Reports claim that commuters are not allowed to use private cars as transport.
There have been claims by the protesters that three drivers have been killed in alleged violence in the past week.

Metro police are currently on the scene to bring order to the strike.
