Activity day at Norscot Recreational Manor

NORSCOT – Various activities were enjoyed at the first activity day at Norscot Recreation Centre.

 

The skipping of hoops, kicking of soccer balls, bean-bag tossing, tackling obstacle courses and showing off karate skills were the order of the day at Norscot Manor Recreation Centre’s activity day on 9 July.

“The children who participated in the activity day had lots of fun at the first Little Friends of Norscot activity day. They thoroughly enjoyed and actively participated in the activities,” the recreation centre’s, Jeanne Opperman expressed.

Various groups at the recreation centre showcased their offerings. Warm-up was done by the group, Body Project; power hour included JKA Karate, Kaizen Nova Kickboxing Club, self defence and Little Kickers. Culture hour included Irish Dancing, Helen O’Grady Drama, Methodz Acting and a hip-hop workshop.

“The obstacle fun walk was enjoyed by all ages, and the children with the most rounds were Jayden Bijoux with 23 laps; in joint second place were brothers Agyei and Joshua Bijoux with 22 laps; and in third place, was Alex Losco with 20 laps,” Opperman concluded.
