Dainfern resident launches hangover ‘cure’
DAINFERN – From the streets to a business suit, Dainfern resident Teboho Twala successfully launches a drink to help a hangover.
It seems there’s no challenge too difficult for Dainfern resident, Teboho Twala.
A metallurgical engineer by trade, someone who studies the physical and chemical behaviour of metallic elements, Twala is also a businessman with two thriving businesses under his belt – a restaurant and a mining company.
The Free State-born 35-year-old can now proudly claim to be the mastermind behind Zzero Hangover, a drink to help alleviate hangover symptoms which is currently on the tongues of every alcohol consumer in the country.
Scheduled to hit the shelves in the first week of May, Twala explained that his product was a functional beverage formulated specifically to kickstart hangover recovery.
Twala said, “Zzero Hangover assists in healing hangovers by rehydrating, replenishing and revitalising the body.”
He added that the current cultural trend towards a healthy and active lifestyle placed many demands on people from all walks of life.
“Zzero Hangover aims to address this apparent contradiction by providing a functional drink solution that aids in the maintenance of a healthy lifestyle while minimising the harsh effects of alcohol consumption and the impact it has on the consumer.”
According to Twala, the beverage has also received a thumbs-up from doctors and nutritionists for its other health benefits such as improving blood concentration and protecting the liver.
The drink is produced and bottled in a factory in Heidelberg, and Twala provides employment to more than 350 skilled and unskilled workers.
For a boy who once lived on the street, his story is a remarkable tale of determination and focus.
