Joining forces to help abandoned animals
DIEPSLOOT – This and That gives back to 4Paws.
Established less than a month ago, This and That, a company which sells hats and slippers, is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of abandoned animals by donating 10 percent of its profits to 4Paws Animal Shelter.
Owner of This and That, Tersia Brits, explained that her decision to donate 10 percent to the shelter was a way of giving back. “Animal welfare is close to my heart and 4Paws is run by my sister,” said Brits.
Brits added that the company was started to get rid of accumulated old fabric. She makes handmade hats and slippers, made from pieces of fabric from sample books, and sells them to the public.
“As an interior designer, I had tons of old fabric sample books and decided to do something with them. I am a bit of a hoarder and do not want to throw anything away that can be used for something pretty.”
