Three legs and maybe three lives, this pup needs a loving home

FOURWAYS – A delightful three-legged dog needs a new home.

The animal shelter, 4Paws, situated outside Diepsloot, is desperately looking to home Willow, a three-legged dog who was rescued by the shelter several months ago.

Founder of 4Paws, Merinda Brits explained that Willow was hit by a car and left for dead.

“Her left ear was almost completely torn off and her left back leg was broken in several places,” Brits said.

And according to Brits, Willow’s leg had to be amputated.

“She is a very sweet little dog and has been in our shelter for several months,” Brits said.

Brits explained that the shelter housed a number of cats and dogs and was always in need of donations from the public to keep the shelter going.

She encouraged the public to donate cat food, old or spare collars and leashes, books, household items and appliances, office items and garden tools and equipment.

Brits added that 4Paws now had a Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment Certificate (BBBEE) which meant that any organisation or company supporting 4Paws would be in a position to claim all contributions to the shelter under the socio-economic development element on the BBBEE scorecard and receive 100 percent recognition for their contributions.
