Kyalami Equestrian Park prepares for the much-anticipated Nissan Easter Festival

KYALAMI - THE Nissan Easter Festival will be taking place from 19 to 28 March at Kyalami Equestrian Park, and it promises to offer an exciting schedule for the whole family.

The festival will feature a full spectrum of entertainment varying from showjumping and dressage, to an Easter-egg hunt, a dog agility show, a fancy-dress competition and much more.

Top riders such as Nicola Sime, Annemarie Esslinger, Lorette Knowles-Taylor, Dominey Alexander, Barry John Taylor, Ronnie Lawrence, Nicole Horwood, Sam Macintosh, Ray Korber and Lisa Williams will be competing in a variety of high-energy classes.

Many showjumping fanatics are looking forward to see who will claim first place in the much-anticipated Nissan South African Outdoor Grand Prix.

Last year’s winner of this title was Samantha McIntosh on her horse, Let’s Win; with Lorette Knowles-Taylor on her horse, Nissan Nabab Forever, coming in a close second.

The first part of the festival will focus on dressage classes, while the rest of the show will feature showjumping events.

The main class is the 2016 Nissan SA Outdoor Grand Prix, which will take place on 28 March. Other highlights include the Nissan GT-R High-Performance Challenge, a Lipizzaner Display, a Horse Carriage Race, Nissan Six Bar and more.

While the horses and their riders will undoubtedly be taking centre stage, there are many other fun activities that will keep visitors of all ages entertained over the 10-day event.

Families, friends and sporting fanatics are invited to head down to Kyalami Equestrian Park this Easter for non-stop excitement, action-packed equestrian displays and plenty of fun. The festival kicks off from 9am each morning and continues until late afternoon.

Entrance to the Nissan Easter Festival is free, secure parking is available, and a variety of food and drinks will be available for purchase at the event.
