Generations star’s accident near Diepsloot was a possible hijacking

DIEPSLOOT - There is speculation that actor Rapulana Seiphemo's collision on the N14, near Diepsloot, a week ago may have been the consequence of a hijacking.

According to IOL News, while one of the passengers in Seiphemo’s car died at the scene of the accident, the other is under heavy police at a Gauteng hospital.

Both passengers were strangers to the actor, leading to speculation that they may have been hijackers.

Police have reportedly confirmed that an investigation is taking place and that three culpable homicide cases have been opened.

IOL reports that they have reliably learnt that the passenger under police guard has been charged with suspected hijacking.

While much of the attention has been focused on Seiphemo, Jerry Coertze, and Donovan van Zyl were two of the motorists who died in the accident.

IOL spoke to a cousin of one of the deceased who said Van Zyl had fetched Coertze from a Pretoria hospital and they were on their way back to Krugersdorp when the Toyota Corolla they were travelling in collided with Seiphemo’s Audi A4.

The third passenger of their vehicle survived the accident.

Seiphemo is still recovering in Milpark hospital.
