SANDTON – A 31-year-old man was arrested for an armed house robbery in Sandton.

This according to Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for Sandton police, who said two suspects

entered a woman’s home on 12 February this year.

“She was preparing to take a bath when she heard a male voice greet her in isiZulu,” explained Maphakela. “One of the suspects had a firearm pointed at the woman and he ordered her to sit down.”

He said the other suspect went into the woman’s bedroom while the other one tied her up and blindfolded her.

Maphakela said the suspects left with decoders, televisions, a CCTV monitor, CDs, speakers, a cellphone and a laptop.

The woman sustained no injuries and was left unharmed. It is estimated that her stolen property amounts to

R100 000.

The arrested suspect is expected to appear in court soon.
