Domestic Watch to be held at Magaliessig
MAGALIESSIG- The next Making A Difference (MAD) Domestic Watch meeting is set to take place at Norscot Manor Recreation Centre on 18 February.
The Crime Prevention Meeting will start at 9.30am and founder of the MAD initiative, Penny Steyn, will chair the meeting.
Steyn believes that it all comes down to motivating domestic staff to believe in their self-worth because safety against crime starts with the self.
Steyn began the initiative when she realised that domestic workers were often blamed for unwittingly letting criminals into their homes or onto the properties of their employers.
