Beaulieu College top achievers
BEAULIEU - Beaulieu College matric pupils excelled, once again, in their 100 percent matric pass rate for the 15th consecutive year.
Andrew Musk, top achiever of the group, obtained nine distinctions and was within the top 1 percent of candidates per subject in advanced programme mathematics, mathematics and physical sciences. Musk explained that his outstanding results came down to hard work and putting in the hours, because there are no short cuts.
The dedicated student will be leaving to study computer science and physics in America.
Shayna Smit, Head Girl during her matric year, obtained eight distinctions and was among the top 1 percent of candidates per subject in business studies.
Claire van Son obtained seven distinctions and was amongst the top 1 percent of candidates per subject in English.
Beaulieu College’s Academic Head, Mr Mark Naidoo, said, “The school’s academic success down to accountable leadership, consistency, students’ self motivation to achieve and continuous parental involvement.”
