Mayor of Joburg cleans up the CBD after Pickitup strike

JOBURG - On the morning of 26 November, following the Pickitup strike in the Joburg CBD, city officials, including Mayor Parks Tau, brandished brooms and garbage bags to clean the streets of Braamfontein.

According News24, Joburg council members donned overalls and Tshirts and picked up litter and swept the streets of Joburg.

Following the an interdict by Pickitup management to stop the illegal strike, workers are required to report for work this morning, and if they fail to do so they may be fired.
