Douglasdale Police Station under renovations

DOUGLASDALE - Douglasdale Police Station is currently being renovated in order to improve capacity, with several administrative and detective offices being enlarged and polished-up to improve the working conditions of the police service members.

The ongoing facelifts have the potential to influence effective service delivery.

South African police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Lungelo Dlamini made the announcement last week.

Dlamini said the client service centre was not affected by the renovations.

“Renovations started during November. Although renovations are continuing, normal policing duties have not been affected. There is signage at the station to direct clients coming to the station for different services,” said Dlamini in a statement.

He also revealed that the telephone lines at the client service and switchboard were also not affected.

“The administration of cases will still continue as usual. The station commander apologises for any inconvenience the renovations may cause,” said Dlamini.
