A wonderful goodbye to EcoMobility

JOBURG - Local residents and the City of Johannesburg enjoyed a beautiful Saturday afternoon in the sun on West Street in Sandton as they bid farewell to the EcoMobility World Festival on 31 October.

The day was attended by a plethora of community members and local government representatives who relaxed and reminisced about the festival which Executive Mayor of the City of Johannesburg, Parks Tau, said was an opportunity for the City to reclaim its streets in a bid to address Johannesburg’s congestion and greenhouse gas emission concerns.

The block party, which took over West Street in Sandton, saw families from all over celebrating the success of the festival with music, food and family.

City Improvement District manager of the Sandton Central Management District, Elaine Jack said the party was an opportunity for the district to show their gratitude toward residents who supported the EcoMobility World Festival.
