Stolen juice and crisps worth R80k found

DOUGLASDALE- Three suspects were arrested for possession of stolen property at about 2am on 28 October in Jacaranda Street, Kya Sand.

According to Warrant Officer Balan Muthan, head of communications for Douglasdale Police Station, the three suspects were allegedly in possession of stolen packaged juice and crisps to the value of about R80 000.

He added that the stolen goods might have come from a truck that had been hijacked. “It was a successful arrest and there are ongoing investigations to find out which truck the goods came from,” Muthan said.

The suspects are due to appear in court on charges of possession of stolen goods.
