Joburg Live Loud comes to Jozi

JOBURG - Unless you've been living under a rock, you probably know about the ground-shaking event that is Joburg Live Loud.

Radio presenters Nick Hamman and Poppy Ntshongwana have played party planners in a bid to put on quite a show – a musical spectacular featuring top, award-winning local artists on 12 September at Marks Park, Emmarentia.

The musical spectacular has been described as the official launch of a project that aims to bring social cohesion and nation building. With more than 30 South African acts and DJs showcased in a full-day event, it promises to be nothing less than legendary.

This multi-music genre extravaganza is aimed at generating a feel-good spirit that brings together the youth of South Africans in the celebration of good music. The festival has already hit both major coasts, including Cape Town and Durban, and has left both cities in absolute awe of all the musical talent that has come together to perform on one stage.

Featuring live acts by award-winning local artists from KO, AKA and Jeremy Loops to The Parlotones, Prime Circle, Black Motion and MiCasa, as well as 5FM’s DJs including DJ Fresh, Roger Goode and DJ Milkshake, this is the one event on your calendar you don’t want to miss.

5FM radio station manager Justine Cullinan said, “5FM broadcasts daily with one aim in mind and that is to bring the cultures of youthful South Africans together through the power of music. The station has been planning the launch of a wholly 5FM-owned station property for some time and it’s finally here! Our vision for Joburg Live Loud is to showcase the best in local music onstage for everyone to enjoy together and to live loud!”

Managing director of MRP Group, Morris Roda said, “We are honoured and humbled to be part of a team which chooses to celebrate who we are as a nation, especially during Heritage Month. We look forward to a successful event that ticks all those entertainment boxes.”
