Choir and Afrika Tikkun children sing their hearts out

SANDTON - TO HONOUR Youth Month, the law firm Norton Rose Fulbright Choir performed with 30 children from the youth empowerment organisation, Afrika Tikkun at its offices in Sandton.

The choir was established in 2010, and communications manager of the law firm, Claire Marais, said the choir was made up of lawyers and business services staff members, and performed at all the major events and holidays celebrated by the company.

With no prior experience in music or singing, the choir has become an important part of the Norton Rose Fulbright family, showcasing the talent of their staff guided by choir master Ralph Schmidt.

Diversity and inclusion manager at the firm, Gale Shabangu said they had been involved with Afrika Tikkun for three years, and have funded a class of children based in one of the organisation’s early childhood programmes at Uthando Centre in Braamfontein.
