Cyclists enjoy the Wally Kohler Enduro Cycle Rally

DELTA PARK - DELTA Park was filled with over 250 Cubs and Scouts from all over Johannesburg who participated in the annual Wally Kohler Enduro Cycle Rally.

Teams of between four and six riders competed to see how many laps of a set course could be completed within a three-hour time limit. Each team was given a numbered wristband which had to be passed over to the next rider in the pit area. A number of obstacles, ramps and a tricky mud section were also set up on the course to make the task more challenging.

Event organiser Thomas Helmrich said, “It was pleasing to see an increased number of teams entering this year’s event, and the number of parents and supporters who attended to cheer on their teams.”

In the Cub section of the competition, the Sandton district was well represented, with 1st Bryanston placing first and third.
