Man arrested for drunk driving in Kyalami

KYALAMI - METRO police spokesperson Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said a motorist was arrested by the high-speed unit in Kyalami over the weekend of 12 to 14 June .

Minnaar said, “A 32-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving. He tested 0.50mg on the breathalyser. This is more than double the legal limit of 0.24mg.”

The motorist’s white Toyota Etos collided into another vehicle along Zinnia Road in Kyalami. Minnaar added that this happened in an area where many residents have complained about motorists who speed and cause accidents. “Metro police will not hesitate to arrest anyone breaking the rules of the road, putting lives at risk,” he said.
