Murder-accused George Louca dies in prison

JOBURG - George Louca, the man accused of killing Teazers strip-club boss Lolly Jackson in 2010, reportedly died in police custody on the evening of 11 May.

Louca was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer.

Teazers has branches in Rivonia and Midrand.

Louca was reportedly in the hospital unit of the prison when he died.

It was reported that Hawks spokesperson Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said Louca was rushed to hospital on the early morning of 11 May after complaining of chest pain, and was returned to prison after he stabilised later in the day but on the evening he could not be revived.

In April the Palm Ridge High Court heard a case to release Louca due to his health however the case was dismissed.
