Proudly South African in the heart of Rivonia

RIVONIA - A shop selling proudly South African goods has been opened in Rivionia.

Resident, Penny Essafrau has converted her old tennis court into a shop called On the Court with Penny.

She sells everything from pottery, jewellery and handmade cushions to homemade jam and caramel fudge.

“I enjoy sourcing out various products all over South Africa to sell at the shop,” added Essafrau.

She said people are always craving new and different things and this is what her store offers. “These days shops sell the same things everywhere and it’s good to go to a place where there is something out of the ordinary,” said Essafrau.

The shop was officially opened the week before the Easter holidays and is located on 8th Avenue.

“We have received support from the community who have all been spreading the word about the shop,” she said.

“It is still fairly new, but we are looking forward to its growth.”

Essafrau and her husband are already in the retail business of making and selling throws and designer fabrics.
